The crowd at Dewan Sri Putra, Bukit Jalil was bursting with energy on 1 November 2025 as Showcase Jiwa Malaysia made its much-awaited return for a second edition. Six top Malaysian acts: Alpha, Kugiran Masdo, Floor 88, Baby Shima, 6ixth Sense, and Def Gab C, came together for one night that reminded everyone why local music will always have a special place in our hearts.
From the moment Alpha opened the show, the audience knew they were in for something special. The rising boy band’s slick choreography and catchy hits like P. Ramlee Saloma got the crowd on their feet, setting the tone for a night packed with pure energy. Then came Kugiran Masdo, who transformed the hall into a giant sing-along with their signature retro-pop charm. Songs like Janji Manis and Dinda had fans swaying, singing, and smiling from ear to ear.
Floor 88 kept the momentum going, opening with Original Sabahan, a tribute to cultural pride that immediately fired up the crowd. Their performances of Zalikha, Kongkalikong, and Hutang were crowd favourites, complete with the kind of energy that only a live Malaysian concert can deliver.
Next, Baby Shima took over with her unstoppable charisma. The queen of viral hits proved why her star keeps rising, performing Stechu-Stechu and Pap Pap with full-on confidence and flair. Her dance moves, cheeky charm, and connection with the audience turned the hall into one big dangdut-meets-pop party.
The energy shifted to emotional and powerful as 6ixth Sense graced the stage, performing beloved tracks like Khatimah Cinta and Tanpa. Their raw vocals and heartfelt delivery hit just the right notes, creating one of the most memorable moments of the night.
Closing the show was none other than Def Gab C, who brought the house down with their timeless anthem Ibu Kota Cinta. It was a nostalgic throwback that pulled everyone straight into the golden days of 2010s Malaysian rock, the perfect way to end an incredible night.
Organised by Regnant Works with support from Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia, the event proved that Malaysian music isn’t just surviving, it’s thriving. With partners like Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur Bukit Jalil, ERA, Sinar, Gegar, Gempak, My Ticket Asia, Chagee, and PtE, the showcase reflected what happens when the industry comes together to uplift homegrown talent.
From start to finish, Showcase Jiwa Malaysia 2025 was more than just a concert. It was a proud celebration of Malaysian creativity, rhythm, and unity – proof that when local artists take the stage, they don’t just perform; they own it.
